Introducing New Revenue Streams
Ready Player Me has already delivered a robust avatar system that saves developers time while offering deep customization, thousands of assets, and cross platform support.
Now, we are introducing a way for developers to drive more revenue via a new developer rewards pool. The current implementation is simple: when players buy cosmetics in PlayerZero, the avatar-centric game portal built by Ready Player Me, the revenue from sales is accumulated into a pool. Funds are then distributed out to game developers based on engagement within their games – unlocking new high-margin revenue streams on top of uninterrupted, existing monetization flows.

Developer Rewards Pool in Action
This early iteration of the developer rewards pool has already driven funds to game developers via revenue from PlayerZero, the hub for players to create their own avatar, collect wearables to customize their character, discover compatible games, and dive directly into such experiences with their fully interoperable avatar. PlayerZero drives revenue via collection drops and partner collabs – some of which completely sold out in seconds — which then entered the developer rewards pool and was distributed to games that integrated into the PlayerZero portal, including Simply Up, Simply Prop Hunt, Gunsbytes, Rampage Riders, and more.

A Bright Future
2025 is already off to a blazing start with rewards being distributed to game developers. This marks the start of a novel path that supports builders fairly with new revenue streams built to enhance the player experience at virtually no additional cost.
Over the coming months, we will be experimenting with and refining the core mechanics of this protocol and the developers rewards pool. We continue to offer our easy-to-integrate avatar system as it saves a lot of time and unlocks a path to interoperable avatars and assets.
