When you create an avatar using Ready Player Me, you can choose from hundreds of digital garments. Some created by Ready Player Me’s own 3D artists, and some designed in collaboration with brands like New Balance, Tommy Hilfiger, or Calvin Klein. But up until now, you couldn’t mix and match different elements of these outfits. That changes today. You can now create your own avatar outfit by individually selecting the top, bottom, and shoes.
To get started with putting together your own outfit, go to a supported application, open the avatar creator, and go to the outfits section. There, you will find three new sections for individual outfit pieces. At launch, you will be able to pick from 12 different tops, 11 bottoms, and 6 pairs of shoes, with more coming soon. You can still access the existing full-body styles.
Mix and matching outfits is already available in most of the live partner apps and games. In case it didn’t make it to your favorite app, it shouldn’t take more than a few weeks.
